Ingrid Schindall, b.1989, based in Miami, FL, has an art practice that spans the printed multiple, social organizing, and platform building. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and her artists' books are in many prominent special collections and private collections. She is the founder of Shared Printmaking Facilities (FKA Miami Paper & Printing Museum and IS Projects (2014 to present), a printmaking and book arts studio in Miami with the mission to promote innovations in print and book media through collaboration, education, and critical discourse. She is also a founder of Small Press Fair South Florida (2016 onward) a regional fair bringing together artists engaging in print, book and zine making. Most recently, she is a founder of Tropic Bound Artists' Book Fair, an international biennial artists' book fair in Miami.
Shared Printmaking Facilities is a public-access printmaking and book arts studio that strives to promote innovations and developments to print and book media by providing knowledge, training, and a supportive work space for South Florida's artists. A healthy print community is a sign of a thriving art scene so our role in Miami as the only fully staffed printmaking and book arts studio is vital. The studio houses letterpress, fine art printmaking and book arts equipment and offers workshops, hourly studio rental, artist residencies, internships, book binding services, edition printing and commercial printing.
